I found any time i do more than 10 sets for chest, i lose size and strength.

So mine isn't insane at all i guess. Yours would probably set me back a few years growth wise.

If its not an indication of anything, then why do we get sore?

And I dont know personally how you can have an insane chest workout...not like theres tons of different stuff you can do...flat bench...incline bench...and some flys...pretty insane, unless by insane you mean out of the ordinary, off the wall, and out of left field randomness

nah bro, by insane I meant real high intensity and hopefully get a huge pump. I remember when I used to do Iso's, I used to get ridiculous pumps. Felt like I accomplished something that day when I left the gym. Haven't felt like that in a while and I don't want to do Iso's anymore... Don't get me wrong I'm growing (slowly) but am not satisfied when I leave the gym. Guess I'm at a mental plateau... Still sux tho

Thought it was an indication of torn muscle fibers, i.e. good workout...

Lots of reasons. None of them have very much to do with building muscle though. Soreness is, in general, a bad thing.

None of them have to do with building muscle? So when im sore it has nothing to do with the fact that im building muscle? Can you explain this further?

when your sore it indicates you should be building muscle, but you dont necessarly have to be sore to be building muscle

I do understand what your saying and I agree with you, but if I'm not sore after an intense workout than I'm F'n pissed off. Admit it, you know you like being sore too.

When your doing your bench workouts, are you slowly letting the bar go down or are you just dropping it. If you are try to fight the bar down for about 3 - 5 seconds.
