nobody is going to spoon feed you a plan on this board, research and develop your own workout and diet and then people will help you revise it.

    yo,

Agreed there that the kid needs to give more details and do a little bit of research on his own, but I'd be willing to set him up on a good functional lifting routine.

This board, to be honest, is not the ideal place to ask questions with respect to athletic performance- this is a more "physique" or "bodybuilding" driven board.

As nobody is going to spoon feed you, I suggest you google Joe Defranco and his Westside derivatives. Although they are not tailor-made for you, this will give you a good starting point (and allow you to research more)- check his Q&A on his site, where he provides lots of useful information.

There are other S&C Coaches who have assloads of information on the web, but Joe keeps his "simple-stupid"; so, you shouldn't have much of a problem following along. Send me a PM once you have enough posts, if you have further questions.

You said you're six feet and 260 pounds? What's your % body fat? I want sprint times and details. You're going to want to carry a lot of body weight, but you'll also need speed if you're going to play fullback.

Hello im going to jump in on this one. Thank you for not embelishing you stats especially on the 40. There another guy on her that probalbly will agree with me on quite a few points im going to make.
First off you need to make some clear decisions about this because your goals at this point are going to affect you for the restof you life. Ill just start off by crushing your dream of playing football for money, its not going to happen!
So youll need to understand ans establish why you want to continue to play, and this is why. For the education, the *****, and the connnections your gonna make with hopefully other sucessfull team mates.
You 40 time is terrible so i would think your not gonna be playing full back that leaves d-line. at six foot and not 300lbs you will be able to play at 1AA level.
your not gonna need a lot more weight to play that position but you will need technique so your gonna have to learn that on the fly. Try to get out of the nose guard position or at leats to an inside tackle spot. you need to find a school that runs 4 down tackles which most of them do or the bear defense 8 on the line running a gap control defense, something that takes you out of the double team. being a small nose tackle is not fun unless it is tilted then you might catch a break on some play but usually youll get pumpbled most of the time. no tackles no fun no respect.
Playing low is how you beat the larger people so get your hips strong so you can play low. obvoiusly squats are in order. I would also get into hang cleans to you can get low. next stay on the incline bench, youll be pushing up a lot. so get to up to maybe 315 with reps, heavy dumbell incline . Push presses. Hammmer curls heavy so you can throw bombs when using a rip technique on the 0-line. Duck walk and stairs. dont forget to stregthen your lower back some good mornings( i dont like) revers low back extensions, etc.
O yeah and your slowness. You are slow. so fvck the 40 if you have to run that far playing d-line something went wrong. get some quicks on your 20 time and some lateral movement. lateral stair running. learn to explode with a six inch drive step forward, low and then figure out what going on with the play. Anything that faces you you shred and anything that runs away from you like a pulling guard you hold on to (It makes the L-backer look good).
Remember that sound will allow you to react the quickest. IE a run play sounds a lot different than a pass play. pass plays are muffled
AND for crist sake get the education, dont end up pumping gas!
    good luck

thanx alot for that info. i agree that the NFL thing is a far fetched dream but i can personally say that i never have thought that i would be playing in the NFL, but my time that i gave you were the ones that i had right be fore Xmas break from school and that weight that i was when i got that time i was 280lbs. when i came in to camp i was running a 4.78 at 235lbs and the school that i was @ didnt have a great fullback package at all so the D coach was interested in me and said that if i didnt like the fullback side of the ball he would love to have me on the ld line. so i took advantage of the Defence. so basicle im just trying to get baack down to 235 but also get my speed back and keep my striength going up also.
