need help to get in better shape
Well first I would like to say hello to everyone and make it known that I have lurked this forum before. I appreciated the helpful people on this site and decided to join. My current age is 24 and I am 5'11" , 200 lbs. I have been training on and off for about 5 years now. I started as an overweight kid in high school that became very skinny my senior year. I then neither liked the way i looked fat nor skinny. I don't want to be a huge bodybuilder, but I would like to be confident and look good. I have been pretty knowledgeable about workout routines and my diet but the hard part is just sticking to it. Right now, I am at my heaviest I have ever been and hating it. I can't fit into clothes like I would like to and feel nasty. Just a few years back, about 2-3, I was looking my best at about 185 lbs. I was hitting the gym everyday, eating well, and liking what I was doing. As the story goes, I hit the "real world" with getting my own place and getting hit with tons of bills. Along with that came pressure, stress and just recently a death in the family that still has me depressed. I am looking to change my life back around and get on track. I have started working out again about 3 days ago. I have been doing cardio as in running, biking, jump roping, and pushups. My diet is basically as good as I can make due with the food I have at home. I stay away from junk foods, and sodas. I mostly stick with 100% juices, tons of water, boiled eggs, oatmeal, turkey deli meat, chicken, fish, steak, wheat bread, natural almonds, yogurt, and fruit. My question is this. I have people that argue to just cut down and do cardio and others that say I will lose muscle and I should at least work out and do cardio to ge tthe best results. My plans are to look as best I can without the use of steroids for now. I think I need to lose 10 lbs of fat. My other fear with using things such as winny is in my family there is history of gyno. I have a little bit now but i think with working out and dieting, it will go back to how i was 2 years ago. So guys, please help me go in the right direction.

So you want to lose fat?
Read about cutting diet in the diet forum, lots of amazing info there.
Cardio will definitely help you on your purpose, sure, but the first thing to consider is DIET, anyway.

You can easily lose fat, keep carbs to a minimum, I'm trying to shed up and i have only been eating carbs once a day (at breakfast) and if i'm starving i will have another meal that has carbs but that's it, make sure you eat fats too
create a workout plan that works best for you and do low intensity cardio for 20-30 minutes after your weight session, try to stay away from foods an hour or two before you sleep, i promise you will see changes

i am a newb..but i have been lifting for quite a while and doing cardio in some shape or form basically everyday for the last 6 months and lost about 5 pounds overall from that..but when my sport season ended i decided enough was enough and started EATING HEALTHY..and realized that was truly the key..
You need to set it up so you are eating five or six meals a day
Try to do your cardio when you wake up before you eat anything (if possible)
I have basically gotten my diet down to the following types of foods..Lean meats, veggies, fruits, Protein Shakes, Eggs, Potatoes (cooked in oil), Tuna, Special K with skim milk, and as much water as you can possibly imagine drinking..
Ajc- you sure about the foods before bed..ive been told otherwise..
but yeah..being a newb..thats just my advice from my hard research..
another little side note..have you considered taking clen ?
i am currently going on my sixth day (tomorrow) and four days before i started i weighed in at 234 and yesterday i weighed in at 226..and ive been told i look like ive been losing a lot of weight mostly on my back and chest..but yeah..just trying to help!
GOOD LUCK!

you don't need drugs like clen to lose weight all you need is a proper diet and cardio
and you don't want to eat food before you go to bed, it will just sit in your stomache, i mean if you are trying to bulk by all means go for it, but you are tyring to lose weight, so stay away from late night snacking

ha im not in the best shape either..i have just been told by many members on the board i you eat something like cottage cheese before you go to bed it will keep you non catatonic..and you will still be burning calories in your sleep..or more than you would anyways..
idk..i didnt wanna make it sound like i was undermining you because im sure you know way more than i do..i am just reporting what ive read and learned and trying to pass it on to another member

Losing weight is simple, burn more calories than you consume. Many girls don't want to raise the amount they burn (exercise) so choose to lower the intake. The best way to do it is eat healthy meals and exercise. By all means have some junk food every now and then, but keep up that exercise.
