Best Cardio Approaches?
Whats the overall best way to shed those last 10-20 lbs at the gym?
I've been doing the elyptical trainer for a few months, and mixing that up with some biking at the gym.
From your personal experiences, what have you guys found has worked the best? I'm thinking I'm going to start running on the tredmill, along with the Elypitcal, and i think I should be OK...what do you think?

I find cardio in the morning on an empty stomach works best for me. I do low intensity (65% - 75% of MHR) for 45 minutes.

This what I do man.
I love to run..outside. I love the change of scenery and I love the fact you can go as fast as you want or as slow as you want. Enjoy nature. Running outside man gives me a chance to think about everything. Puts my thoughts in order.
I run about 3 times a week (about 3-4 miles).
I also like to bike...outside. I might bike around twice a week.
Sometimes I only run once or twice a week and bike about 2-3 times a week. All depends on how you wanna do it and what your body is calling for.
If you are at a high body fat percentage..then like the guy said above, running in the morning before breakfast is your best bet.
If you wanna lose fat with burning the least amount of muscle, then a fast walk on a high incline on a treadmill will do you the best. (3.4 speed and 16 incline). Do that about 3 times a week.
Wish you the best,
C

find interval training in the morning on a empty stomach helps, run for 10-15mins then for every2mins run as fast as you can and go back to your normal jog for a min then speed up again so that you are running as fast as you can for 2 mins again and repeat this for roughly 20mins or until you have done 10 x 2min sprints.
another good one that i find is using a 400meter track if u have one close by, do a lap to warm up and then sprint 100meters(eiter a straight or bend) and jog or walk the other 100meters and sprint the next 100meters and so on for 10-15meters

running in the morning is not a good idea if you are trying to maintain as much muscle as possible. it is best to keep cardio and lifting seperate also. the best thing for me at least is doing medium intensity cardio 4-5 times a week on the eliptical and sometimes warming up on the bike. i do it for about 35-45 minutes.
low to medium intensity cardio is your best bet for maitaining muscle and burning fat. running just gets your heartrate too high.
are you taking nething?
