    Shrink a Thick Waist?

Is it possible to make ur wast smaller/ appear smaller?
My waist is 33inches, which is way to big IMO. what can I do to make it smaller? my bf it under 10-8% and can see 6-7 abs in my stomach.the last time i tested my body fat, the calipers said 8.7%. I am 5'9 200lbs. But my waist still remains the same size. I hear squats will thicken the waist along with deadlifts., so I stopped doing them and still no difference. I dont use weight with my abs either except on hanging leg raises, which I havent use in a while now and never train my obliques for fear of them increasing in size. I know making my lats wider will make my waist appear smaller, But is that all I can do?. I always feel fat with not much of a taper to my waist. someone please help me!!!

I use hooks to allow me to move much bigger weights, the wrist strength keeps getting stronger, but you will never grow a wider, or thicker back without lifting bigger weights..

What do you mean your wrist keep getting stronger with hooks?

I use straps myself. You think hooks help you move more weight than straps?

I just been trying to concentrate on lat width (vs. thickness) til the spread adds more taper to torso.
