Muscle "memory"
I used to be a pretty big guy a few years ago. But I stopped lifting for about 3 years, and of course, I lost pretty much all my strength from doing that. I did however, keep some of the muscle (just the tissue, not the strength) on my body...
What I am wondering is this:
I recently started lifting weights consistently about 2 months ago and have been eating right to....
Does that mean my strength and size will return to me faster than it would than say, if I never had any muscle before? Do muscle fibers "remember" the times of when I was big and will they be apt to getting back to that strength?

Yes it will. I took a 10 year lay off from weightlifting. You can see my thread here about it.
So far So good!
I just passed my 12 week mark since I started back up. I am almost back to where I was weight wise and strength. I am down to 208 lbs from 230. My strength is lacking is some areas cause I wasnt able to join a real gym till a couple weeks ago. I am sure within the next month or so I will back to where I was completely.
