    The Ideal Amout of Rest

How much rest should you get.

How many days in a row should you work out before you should rest a day?

I know alot of people say day on day off. But I want to work out more then that, will it hurt or help to go more?

around 8 hours for most people is sufficient, i have been sleeping 12 or so lately but that's because i was in sleep deprivation from college

i normally will train two days on one day off or take off a day if i do two large muscle groups like chest and back to give my body time to recoup

So you think 2 on 1 off would be better then 1 on 1 off? I think i'd def feel better about that then 1 on 1 off.

Right now i've been doing cardio every day. Is there really a reason other then soreness I shouldn't do cardio every day 30 mins at incline fast walk. With the HIIT thrown in there every few days? You know maybe 1 day off a week, cheat day or something.

I do 1 on 1 off and feel that If I workout 2 days in a row my body just doesnt recover and the second day my ass drags. My workouts are intense. HIT style.

I like that alot. Also for people just starting out or getting back at it after a long break it wouldn't be bad to train more often would it.

The reason I say that is because you can't really get alot of weight and you damn sure can't really get a full workout in.

It all depends on how hared you are working out and I also think if you do two on and one off change it up every four weeks. I have done five on two off and then changed it to two on and one off and so on.

It depends on if you are bulking or cutting I believe when bulking you should have more rest days. I did 5 on 1 off through my last cutting cycle.

It varies from one person to the next. There is no cookie cutter plan. I'll say one thing-women as a whole bounce back faster than men.

most get 8-10 but if your tires sleep more test your limits on haw early you can get up sometimes that extra half hour makes all the difference in the gym, in my case though if i sleep in im more tired all day than when i get up early and go to the gym
