When did you make your best gains (except from the beginning)

    - When you trained heavy and to failure?
    - WHen you trained long workouts?
    - When you trained intensive (short rest periods, pump, and all that)
    - When you trained somewhere in the middle?

When did you make your best gains? These are just mere examples, just pile it on if you made better gains doing something else, cheers

By switching it up. 3-5 reps with longer rest for a month, 8-12 for another with shorter rest. 1x/week bodypart training then 2x/week. It's all about making your body guess. Overall though, best gains I've made was when I went from 1 1/2 hour workouts with back/bis, chest/tris, ect, to 45 min-1 hour workouts doing 1 bodypart a day.

recently when I actually kept track and TRIED to get stronger, I have been getting both size and strength results. About 15-25lbs increase on my lifts every week for the last 2 weeks. Knock on wood, its goin good.

yah, I completely agree with this. When I started lifting I was dumb and just did upper body. Once I got my wheels up to speed, everything else fell into place

I have always trained the whole body, but I just kept on pooring on weight, long rest pauses, chatting with my buddies, and so on (in the beginning), but I still grew, you will grow in your first 6 months no matter what though...
