    morning cardio question

Generally speaking, im up and doin my AM cardio aroudn 6:30 and it usually consists of a 3-4 mile run with some pretty steep hills. and I do it on an empty stomach.

so my question is pretty simple, but one that i have no idea on.

should I take a protien shake pre-cardio? Or after it?

I do take a scoop of No-Xplode pre cardio, (however, ill drop it if its reccomended).

    Thanks,

3-4 mile run w/ hill work is pretty intense on an empty stomach

my question is why are you running that much anyway, you'll end up burning off muscle

im in the military. Every morning for PT (except sat/sun and holidays) I am up at 6:30am and that is the usual routine. I dont really get a say in the matter. sometimes they switch it up and we play some soccer or other running type sports. but generally its a run.

so, is that a "take the shake pre morning cardio?"

    Thanks,

I know some people prefer to take BCAAs before cardio. There are also those who take a small amount of whey in the AM pre-cardio. I say try it for a few months. See how you feel. Keep track of your lifts, strength, and fat loss. Let us know how it goes.

If you could get in some protein and carbs that would be best to preserve muscle. Deffintely eat a meal if you can.
