Cardio in the morning on empty stomach?

I have read that doing cardio on an empty stomach is a bad idea and i heard it was a good idea.

I wake up at 6am and take an energy pill EXN and plenty of amino acids and a scoop of glutamine.

I get there at 6:30am and do 40mins of low intensity cardio, max incline (15) at 3mph.

Soon as im done I slam a shake in me and more bcaa's, straight home and eat 4 egg whites and 2 whole eggs, with 99grams of blueberries and 1/3 of a cup of oatmeal.

Then I continue on with my day following my diet.

I then workout at 6pm, weight train, then do the same cardio only for 20 minutes.

My concern is losing more then fat. I dont think anyone wants to loose muscle.

So whats the deal with cardio, whens the best time to do it, am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, I have a step master and treadmill in my house. I hate dealing with a 20-30 minute drive to gym cause I am usually starving when I wake up. I have half my session done at home before I am even fully awake.
