    lifting to cut

Im currently on my second week of Test E. I want more lean muscle than bulk. Should I do 10-15 reps for 4-5 sets per exercise or 8-10 reps for 3 sets?
I was 177lbs before cycle now Im at 185lbs. This is pretty much my first cycle. Any advise is appreciated.

8 pounds in one week? Wow, and test hasn't even really kicked in yet (should be week 4 or so with test e...)

Anyway, to your question, the biggest determining factor for cutting is going to be diet and cardio. I know lots of folks who keep reps even lower than you have above during cutting to maintain as much strength as possible. I, personally, mix mine up according to the "slingshot" training that is referenced all over this forum.

I don't believe in gearing my lifting around cutting. I gear my cardio around cutting.

We have a Bingo! Your rep range has little to do with whether you get cut or not, its all about diet and cardio.
