While cutting More reps of lesser weight

I am currently cutting. Somone suggested me that while your are cutting you should go for more reps of comparatively lighter weights. For eg:

If i am doing dumbell chest press of

    1st SET = 80 pounds x 15 reps
    2nd SET = 100 pounds x 12 reps
    3rd SET = 120 pounds x 8 reps

    the suggestion is

    1st SET = 60 pounds x 15 reps
    2nd SET = 80 pounds x 15 reps
    3rd SET = 100 pounds x 15 reps

Do you think this works better for cutting?

Personally i like what you're doing now better. You could switch it up and do your heavy sets with lower reps first then lighter weight and more reps later.

He means do heavy sets first, then gradually decrease weight and increase reps.

I think you should stick to heavy weights thou to keep as much strength as possible while cutting. Higher reps isn't going to get you cut - your diet is.

Even i was of the same thinking. I always felt that I should not drop on weights. Its just a myth i guess.
