Losing fat-interval vs. low intensity
Ok, I did some searching reading up on interval vs low (30-45 min). Im still a little shady on the subject to tell you the truth. I workout monday thru sat. MWF-Lift TTHS-cardio days. Im 6'5" 315lb ex football player, etc. Athletic person. Im trying to drop to 250 give or take a few. Im more of an endo/meso built person so I have to watch my carb intake.
My question lies in the area of interval vs low. For major weight loss, what would benefit me more. 30-45 on a treadmill or 15-20 minutes 30 seconds hard, 1 minute rest. I understand that your metabolic rate speeds up during and after interval, but will I end up burning more fat with traditional cardio. Also, with is with a normal diet, eating 5-7 times a day, small portions, high protein, lower carbs.
edit: My lifts are extremely anaerobic 45 sec rest between sets, lower weights, 2-3 sets of 8-12 reps. Im usually pretty depleted of energy after such a workout.
