Runners out there: What to take post cardio
What do you guys suggest after 30 mins of runnin. I hear some people have fresh fruit. You guys will probably say protein (laughs).
Tell me, what do you guys have?

Of course protein is good, get some fast digestable whey for after a workout. Sugars are good to get right after any workout too because they refill your glucogen (think that is how to spell it, I suck at spelling) stores. Fruit is a good source of sugars because you also get some fiber, can never get enough of that, and vitamins. But if you are doing your cardio for fat loss you might want to becareful of how much sugar you eat..

I would take about 20g of whey protein and simple carbs and sugar in a ratio of 3:1 where you get 3 times as much much carbs than protein. Then an hour or 2 later, eat a high(40-50g) protein meal with very little carbs and fat.
