Been out for over a month. Should I come back hard or ease into it?
I've been out of the gym for over a month due to a recent move, work being hectic, the holidays, etc. Should I jump back in with a hardcore HIT routine or take it easy on the volume and intensity for a week or two to get my body used to lifting again? I figure that right now I am primed and ready for growth after such an extended break. What's the best method to get back into i and take advantage of this primed state?

I would personally do a full body workout (light) on say Monday and Thursday just to get yourself used to it again.

whenever i jump back into the gym i end up so ore i have to take a week or two off. but at the same time 1 month isnt to long a layoff.
id say drop afew pounds off your old lifts and start there. if you breeze through it and arent too sore in the next few days, then bump the weight up and go from there.

As moto says..
When iv taken time off like a month, i usually just jump straight into the deep end. And a couple of days later i feel sore as fk, and can barely move. So i would try what gbrice suggested. A couple full body workouts, hit ever muscle but just go light on them.

Im in the same boat here. I went on my honeymoon from the 14 - 18 of Dec and only trained 3 times but ate and drank everything in site. Not to mention New Years Eve.
This week I will take it easy on the weights but Im going full throttle on the cardio and diet.....and then some.....
