Is he swinging his boddy?
I’ve noticed Johnnie Jackson always swings his body when he works out, look at the clip,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muZM9...eature=related
now i was told to never do that, is he using a technique that i am not familiar with? also i've noticed he doesn't do full strokes, he does short quick strokes!

I don't see him really "swinging" his body. My assumption would be he's just trying to get that one extra set in. I really wouldn't question it too too much being that he's a pro and it's obviously working haah.

I have seen many BB's have a bad swing in there lifts. Obviously technic is important but even a sloppy lift will do the job with years and years of extream training. And I also seen them not preform the full lenth of the lift. There are differt ways to lift to hit multiple angels of the muscle. And I figure some of them are so big thats as far as there arms can close.

Cheat reps have a place in bodybuilding.. I like to use them on barbell 21's once I hit a weight that is too high to do clean for a whole set for me. I start with just the bar or 10 plates on the sides, do 10 reps, go up 20 lbs more, keep going. Then I go back down taking off plates until im just doing the bar.
I suspect they may be able to push you past a plateau since its a weight you can't really do. I would never use them on any exercise where injuries are prone or can be crippling to your bodybuilding career. For example, many people complain of elbow pain on french press, so I would never use cheat reps on that exercise. I injured my elbow doing t bar rows going up too high too fast.. would not recommend them on that, etc. Many times on bench you will see people bounce the bar off their chest or not touch or come close to touching at all. I have no problem with that for someone who has been lifting for years and is pushing themselves, but when someone new to the gym is doing it it just says they are choosing ego over their real goal.Last edited by cherrydrpepper; 04-26-2010 at 10:16 AM.

If you watch a few of the pros it does seem they use bad form.

U can see he is moving back, leg, neck muscles. Which means, he is doing more weight that his arms can handle alone. The other mucles give him support and put little speed in the lift, decreasing weight pressure on his arms, making the weight easyer to lift.
I would say it does not make any differance, if he is lifting less weight or a little more with tiny help from his body. The biceps is contracting at maximum, and thats all that matters.
