today's upper body workout
Hi, i'm new to this all... I have zero lifting experience just extensive cardio.
these were my lifts today, I just want to know if i was doing the right thing because i feel well, i feel like i put in the work! My body reacted well...
Pull ups - 2x20
DB Curls - 2x5 40 pounds
3x5 30 pounds
BB Curl - 2x 30 pounds
3x 40 pounds
DB bench press - 2x 30 pounds
3x 21 1/2 pounds
Pull downs - 5x5 120 pounds
I wanted to do bench but i didn't really have the confidence this was my first time in the gym... next week
I am 136 pounds and I'm trying to bulkup... So is this a good 'start'? Like I struggle to put my headphones on my head lol, but it's a good feeling not a ache.

sounds good man but lifting 2x isnt going to give you much depending on the person you should generaly be lifting like this instead of 40 lbs 2x star curling 25 lbs and do it 10x - 12x each arm and do it 4 - 6 times untill your arms feel like noodles. lower weight more reps untill you build technique
Welcome to the world of body building
ill recomend a good start for you as well check out some P90X workout vids and look at workout routines on youtube. once you get over the milestone say a couple weeks and see some small results you will be hooked keep up the good work mate !

sweet man thnx for the heads up, I know that 2x is bad.. But sometimes i started out too light or too heavy so i had to change it after my rep... to get my 5 sets in.. I'll do more research.
I'm pumped.. i feel great hopefully this motivation keeps up

Oh shit I just realized i screwed up when typing that up... On each work out I was doing 5x5, sorry... Also do you box? I think i seen you post something... I'm fighting out of legends I have 62 amateur fights. Where you from?
