dead lifting every week on cycle?

Hey guys I do 5 sets of dead lifts on my back day and I have been doing them every other week because I have heard it will lead to over training if done every week. I am on cycle now so can I do them every week?

I don't think your at risk of over training if you do them once a week

Not that Im a workout guru, but my workout is three days on one day.
    Day 1 chest, tri's, shoulders,
Day 2 squats legs and calves
Day3 dead lifts, back and bi's
Day 4 either rest or cardio (depending on how wrecked I am.
And a little bit of stomach throughout everydays workout.

I haven't done any cycle yet and i love my dead lift days. I look forward to them. I don't feel I'm over training doing them about twice a week.

    And when I do them it's 5 sets, 15-12-10-8-8

You squats and deads are to close , Mon , wed , fri would be a better if your going to do heavy deads after squats, give the legs a rest before your deads

I would hope you are resting in between deads and squats. In fact it would be better to put the chest, shoulder, tri day in- between.

No worries on over training with 5 sets of deads once a week. With proper rest and nutrition you'll be good to go.

What rep range would be considered heavy?

85% to your max is heavy imo. I don't see a point in going real light. Just hit them good then allow rest time.. got start good habits now so u can' continue in older years

Dude Once a week... Its why I split up my legs...

Leg day 1 = Heavy squats/press/extensions and bla bla bal plus light hamstring work..
Leg day 2 = Heavy deadlifts/curls and i throw in some light quad work...

That is how it should be done... about 3 days apart... cripple/rest/repeat

i do the same, it takes me 2-3 days to be able to use lower body again so i can only do squat and deadlift once a week each, but i do light squats for deadlift warmup

personally i do 2-3 sets of heavy deads every pull day, and 3 sets squats every legs day, and my split has me repeating each workout every 4th day, so deads and squats both get hit twice in 8 days
