    Slingshot band...

There are some posers in my gym who went and bought a few of these. One guy was bragging that he has a red one that only 20 other people I. The country have. Anyways I just laugh at thaw dudes because they are fat and weak and brag about how strong they are while using the band but forget to tell the people that their max is not natural it's with the band. Anyways is there any advantage to using these? Besides thes immediate help from the elastic. To me it's just wack and I'll never use one

Bands allow you to overload in different parts of movements...

If you use them to the floor when benching you increase the tension on lockout....

If you use the on deadlift the same is also true....

Bands and chains help to develop explosive power as it forces you to drive 100% throughout the whole movement as it gets harder as the bar moves...

The are usually used as a powerlifting tool

Yea I knew they were used in power lifts and that's cool but these are just a couple of fat boys who don't know how to workout . I'm sure everyone has the fat boys in the gym who push their arms out and strut lol.

We used to use bands to go up in weights when i played football. We would grab a thick band wrap it around your arms and bench and it acted like a suit. It helped to add weight to our lifts but wasnt something we used everyday. I do not feel the general gym goer really needs one so i can see how watching them use it and brag can be frustrating but i will say i think they help

Yea I mean it def let's you lift more weight right then. But do you actually gain from it. I kinda look at it as doing a cycle and not keeping any of the gains...what's the point you know. Maybe it's kinda like a good spotter while doing HIT? getting you past failure?

I notice increases in strength. It is a spotter of sorts but allows you to lift heavier weights. It is nothing extreme
