Serious over training question
Can over training for a short period of time, say three weeks leading up to a vacation be good? I am basically asking if I would get better results lifting hard 2 or 3 times a day while eating healthy and on no steroids for three weeks as opposed to just the normal one workout regimen.

Lol over training is never a good thing especially if your natural. Stick to the intense 1 hour workout. Ive been over training for the last 2 weeks im going to take it easy next week but it sucks, Its really hard to fall asleep at night I toss and turn for like 2 hours before I pass out and my sexual appetite has gone down significantly my girlfriend came over last Sunday and it was hard to get/keep an erection. Just telling you straight up do the intense 1 hour workout results dont come from quantity they come from quality. But hay you can do whatever you want just keep that in mind.

Thanks for the input. I kind of figured the response would be "overtraining is never good".

Over training or not - THAT is the question !!
be careful in putting down everything as overtraining. I remember for years I used to stop and think that I had over trained but in reality I just did not have the overall work capacity or basic complete body & mental strength/stamina to train more than a certain amount. Ones I got that now overtraining sets in a lot later.
in my opinion there is logic in training extra hard/long and than taking like 3 weeks off (like a vacation)....just my opinion. Of course that should be done sparely.

How do you know that you would be overtraining if you did this?
Enough rest, enough food and enough supps (legal or illegal) and overtraining is hard to come by.

yeah it always surprises me that some claim that most pro athetics over train ...well if that is the case than they should be getting 'smaller' 'weaker' 'slower'..
and what amazes me even more is that many people believe those interviews and articles - since these articles and their authors sound...oh ...so ...scientific !
overtraing does exist but in my opinion buttt.....

over training is for the mentally weak. There's a difference between not recovering and overtraining. Overtraining is mostly CNS and only kicks in if you're trying to max 500+ squats and deadlifts, which doesn't apply to 99% of people. In fact, even pro powerlifters have stated that theres no such thing as overtraining.
