It depends on the workout intensity and also what % of your maximum you are lifting. Also after the initial shock of starting training your muscles only develop micro tears after training so you don't really notice any pain after a while. This doesn't mean that your not developing the muscle. Main question is are you seing gains in the mirror and are you either progressing up in weight or reps? Pain isn't always progress.

pain is not gain... it doesnt mean anything in terms of muscle growth...
for me - some muscle groups hurt, some never do.

Never heard of anyone that trains hard or even moderate that does not get sore... To grow you have to stress the muscle... and by doing that you will get sore.. when you are sore that is the muscle healing itself from the stress you put on it... For ME pain is gain. Try going heavy on some squats, if you are not sore the next day.. then you are a freak!!

It just depends on what muscle group it is for me. Legs equals much pain the next two or three days but bi's, tri's and shoulders has zero pain ever. A good back workout hurts me the next day as well. It all depends on YOUR body and how hard you go after it in the gym. Period.

try drop sets as said above.
Slow slow negatives and force reps. Obviously you need q spotter.
I also found cable flies and squeeze for a 5 seconds each rep

On certain compounds like tren I could lift forever and heavy but still was not sore. So if your on cycle this may be part of the not sore problem

I never get sore when i train, soreness now to me means I may have over trained. As long as you are seeing gains, ignore the non-soreness

not getting sore doesn't mean your muscle is not growing, it means your body got used to the routine. you're still building muscles. if you wanna get sore switch up your routine, throw in some new exercises

Soreness simply tells u that uve been workin the muscle mostly in the metabolic area.
Mechanical stress on the other hand, seldomly causes a lot of soreness, but still has a bigger impact on hypertrophy than metabolic stress(which of course has an impact too;-) )
So take home Message is that by no means no pain means more gain, gotta train clever and know what you do. I'd rather train 5-6 Times a week than only 2-3 a week due to muscle pain and trigger a lot more growth this way :-)
