Anyone have a physically demanding job that disrupts their training schedule but more importantly, recovery? I struggled working construction for 10 years when I was younger and trying to train after work was extremely difficult. I saw no gains in 5 years at all as I was always burnt out mentally and physically. We worked through lunch coffee breaks and there was no time to eat. It was frustrating, the days after my workouts just felt like I was re working out my muscles hauling heavy lumber around up and down stairs 10 hrs a day 6 days per week. Needless to say I put an end to this dead end career and then of course my training diet and recovery finally came together. Recovery is #1 importance for gains and as soon as I got what I needed, results finally came fast. Manual labour job and the gym just do not mix at least not for me.

I was just wondering who out there struggles with the same situation that I did and is so, how they deal with it with training and recovery.
