How many days a week you lift/workout?
How many days a week y'all lift/workout?
I usually do 5-6 of training. Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays I usually go to the gym for 45 mins get some cardio in. Try and hit one muscle. Then I go to Crossfit. Tuesday and Thursday I try and get two muscles groups in. Also some cardio. No Crossfit. Saturday is just Crossfit.
Anyways am I over doing it? Damn body aches joints hurt. Knees hurt. Lol. But its almost like if I don't go I feel bad all day and beat myself up over it.
Any help thanks.

Yea I have been going 6 days for a few weeks now. I do cardio atleast 20 mins everyday. For those six days. Think I am going to try and cut back to 5 days. See how I feel after 2-3 weeks. I just freak in feel fat if I don't go.

4 days lifting out of 7 on average. But setting a hard schedule is kind of arbitrary isn't it? If I hit a muscle group super hard and am recovering a bit slower, then I through in an extra day off.
1) back/bis
2) chest/tris
3) quads/calves/abs
4) hamstrings/shoulders

I don't really worry with how many times per week I train or what day of the week I train each body part on.
I do a 5 day split and usually don't train more than 2 days in a row so to answer your question I guess 4.

7 days, about 1hr/ session. If you alternate your program to allow for muscle recovery 7 days is not a problem. I hit each muscle group 2x/wk and legs 3x. I had resting days in between when I first started this, but now my body has adapted.
Without laying it all out my program goes like this:
Chest/shoulders/arms; Legs; Back; Legs; Chest/shoulders/arms; Legs; Back.
For legs I do 1hour plyometrics with 40lb weighted vest (box jumps, jump squats, tires, etc).
For back I do mostly weighted pullups, lat pull downs, cable rows, db rows
For chest/shoulders/arms I have 4 routines: barbell, db, cables, weighted 70lb pushups variations.
So far seeing good gains.

I go to the gym every day. It has been years, too many actually, since I've had a regular regime. At present, I start each day with a 35 minute high pace walk. I'll throw in a run at times with it, but I never run more than five minutes. My left knee gives me trouble at times, so I am constantly thinking about being careful to not over do otherwise I could injure it and then I'd really be bummed.
I do upper body eod with lower body on the opposite. Still more focus is on the upper body since again the knee issue.
In total I spend 90 mins doing the actual physical workout.
I've been told that I should give my body a rest and workout less, but I'm enjoying it so that I've gotten OCD about it. Of course, I'm not anywhere near the physical shape that some of you men are in based on your pics.
This is my third month actually getting back in. When I started, I weighed in at 229 with 32 BF? Today, I'm at 212 and I believe that my BF is closer to 25 or slightly lower. I feel good with my progress.

6 days a week probably 8 workouts, mostly Crossfit type but some Oly. I am nice and lean but not as big and strong as I want to be. Probably going to cut back on the workouts and lift heavier.

4-5 days lifting; I've slowly finding out what my body can sustain. I've been working out seriously since Oct 2013, with a low-moderate background of weights/excercise since high school. I'm 31, 210#, 6'1", no cycle.
I'm focused on strength and mass, with my routine recently changed to low reps (2-4), high weight (finishing at/near max and pushing that weight every week). I'm up from 190 in Oct '13 to 210, and plan on focusing on strength/mass. So far, only tendonitis in my elbow (for about 2 weeks), and some inflammation in my knee (2 weeks); resolved with ice, rest, and fish oil (omega 3-6-9 combo).
Ultimately, I'm going to attempt to mimic Arnold's splits, but I'm working up to that.

Currently doing 3 days on, 1 day off. I like doing 4 or 6 day splits, because then you are not working the same muscle group on the same day each week. Keeps the routine from getting stale.

Bursitis after the second week. I didn't do chest/shoulders last week at all. Glad I reached the wall without injury. Iced and rested my shoulder, and would fall asleep with an ice pack on my shoulder; the burning was not severe but rather unconfortable. I took one naproxen on the 3rd or 4th day of soreness, and the next morning, I was golden.
So, I'm back to 3 days per week.
