Cool Lagging Body? Try some of Rich's Tips

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrA5zL9u5NE

I personally can say that my arms were always shit.....year and half later they're 1.5 inches bigger and leaner. I don't care if you hate the guy, some of what he says works.

*He does believe in overtraining if you are natural, he clarifies this in another video. So if you are not on cycle some of these methods may not be suitable for you, especially intense training three times a week. But hell, why not intense training once a week and two days of easy training like 5 sets. Push yourself. F*ck average.

This is going to be interesting when aust sees this.

Personally I don't mind what he says but I'm still a bit skeptical about his methods

I don't care much for this guy either. I will say that there is at least some hint of credibility to "overtraining." Whether it is the best method or not I cannot say. I just know that it does produce SOME results. My first two years of lifting I overtrained liked crazy. Back then I had no idea what overtraining was. Some days I spent 3 hours in the gym on just two body parts. I still gained roughly 20lbs naturally in those two years. I wouldn't say I overtrain now but at the same time I do not keep my workouts brief.

I think overtraining followed by rest works well. The body has a natural compensation response to a high stress workload, but you gotta lower it at some point for it build itself up.

I'll bludgeon my arms for a two weeks and then give them a week off and they inflate very nicely.

I am not a BB and never will be a BB. I am a weight lifter and I am a person that has been exposed to severe conditioning.

The Military thrives on over training. It tests the body and your mental capacity. For its purpose it works. Dan Duchaine was very adamant about NO ATP REPLENTISHMENT during sets and to cycle intense training weekly.

The correct way for BB to use Clen to stimulate muscle growth is 100% overtraining a body part and cycling that body part with the other parts weekly.

Overtraining is a tool and used correctly it has its uses.

Showing our age here but I remember him well. Lived by his USH as there was nothing else back in the day.

Re overtraining. It can produce results and can result in injuries. I know both all too well.

I agree here, I have had my fair share of injuries. It goes without saying that when I am training 3 on and 1 off I do not lift like I am training for a powerlifting contest.

If I had to recommend just one, generalized, training routine to a random group of people, I would just say one body part a week. Keeps the cortisol low, CNS rested more, more time for recovery, less injury, and more convenient amounts of time spent in the gym each day.

over or under training is simple. listen to your body on cycle or off doesnt matter. If you are sore then give it time to rest. I like the principle of one muscle group a week. but I do split chest tris and back bis because doing chest and back work your tri and bi so its almost like im doing arms 2x every 7 days or so.

My rule of thumb is wait until the muscle group is no longer sore and then usually work it out the next day, give or take a little bit depending on my schedule and what I am on at the time I suppose.

Nothing better than the basics. Throw an olympic bar in the corner for T Bars is far better than any machine I've used, imho. Best move I've made was to switch to EOD training years ago. Being fresh for a workout is never an issue and as we age rest and recuperation become even more important to continued gains.

I agree, I am going to get away with it while I still can. Once I stop seeing gains I will consider other options.

It matters how hard you lift also. I see zero ppl lifting like marcus describes in his thread. Most ppl stop just before the pain sets in. Huge difference on how sore I am when I lift marcus way and my old way.
I always lift past failure with half reps and drop sets and rest pause. Every set every lift.

You have a good memory. Cottage cheese every night at bed time. Great slow digesting protein. Keeps me young (er)
