work out Help for 48 yr old on trt and over weight

Hello guys I started trt 5 weeks ago, test cyp 200mg a week and hcg 10 units every morning anastrozole .5 twice per week, I am 5'9" and 260lbs I just had total shoulder replacement on march 26 so I am 4 months out, have to take it easy because of it. I was wondering if I would be better off just doing cardio every morning or lift for 30 min and do 30 min cardio. I am going to the gym at 5:30 to 6:30 mon-fri. thanks
    mike

Goals? Diet? What can you do lifting wise? Do you still see a Physical Therapist?

Mix your workouts around some exercise will hurt more than others try some light cable exercises. Go light max reps get the burn/pump going... but take it slow if your injured/recovering

Remember always listen to your body, If it hurts while lifting just stop and move to another workout. or be a man and drop to A lighter weight

the right program is the one you can stick to. consistency is king.

that being said, if your goals are body fat reduction and lean muscle mass improvement, a mixture of weight lifting (first) and cardio (second in sequence) is a good balance. assuming you've been to pt (if you haven't, this is a must to get the best possible foundation), you're going to want to keep lifting in the 'bad pain' free zone with exercises, weights and reps. listen to your body, but keep pushing.

now for the other EQUALLY important part - diet. read up on the diet section and come up with a diet that will work for you (ie that you can stick to) and allows you to achieve your goals. this board is a wealth of info on all these areas, and the members (if approached straightforwardly and respectfully) are great at spending time teaching, advising, and supporting.

    good luck.
