Because I am a lazy man by nature, I'm less about the mileage and more about effort. I maybe run only a mile, but I sprint a block, walk a block, repeat, repeat, repeat. takes me about 25 mins, 3 x week. When I sprint, its an all out sprint. I try to keep my heart rate around 130-140 or higher

I used to run 4 miles a day. I found that this was screwing up my leg development so I changed to HIIT. This takes less time, allows for better leg development and isn’t as hard on my joints.

It’s also better for burning calories.

Motivation comes in many ways, lol.

If I ever had to run any distance to get away from something, I'm screwed.

By the moment I plan to restart running. I usually ran 3 times a week from home to the nearest stadium then 20 - 30 laps there and back. I would say I usually got close to 10 km distance after the finished running session. I try to keep my exercising bmp no more than 140 beats/ min - I neither am running slow nor sprinting.
So far I have been riding exercycle for 30 min - 1 h every day in evenings. But I better prefer running, I'm a medium distance runner since 12.

I have horrible shin splints and leg issues, but i usually run a mile every day at my own pace. It could take me 10 mins but what i tend to do is walk till .10 mile then run at 7mph until .50 then walk for .10 and then run at 8-9mph till the mile mark.

    Shin splits are a bitch..
These days my cardio is hiking through the mountains
I was out there for 45-1hr a few weeks ago (we have snow season coming in so im not hiking right now), anyway an hour long hike, uphill terrain will be plenty for cardio
Or try walking around on treadmill/outside daily for cardio gains

No im not a fan of running..
Also, those walking stair climbers are a pain in the ass to go for a long time but they're worth it and can build up your cardio
