    Training forearms and calves

    Hi,

Is anyone else 'blessed' with naturally thin forearms and calves?

Adding mass to them has been the bane of my training life - even cycling the gains are the slowest compared to other parts of my body.

I'm starting my 5th cycle soon and wanted some more tips on taking them to the next level.

At the moment I do three sets of the following with no rest between exercises going as heavy as i can: -

    Forearms

    Wrist rollers
    Front wrist curls
    Back wrist curls

    Calves

    Seated calf raises
    Standing calf raises

Any pointers or ideas for improvements?

Rich piana has a forearm routine on YouTube.

Calves can be trained 2-3 days per week.

At the end of the day genetics are going to be the roadblock unless HGH, Synthol (not recommended) or Increlex is introduced.

You may just have to gain X lbs for every Y inches on your calves.

Piana had plenty of good points. He was pretty opinionated, but most of us probably are

He had one of the biggest forearms on the pro circuit. He also built a supplement company from scratch that competed with Optimim Nutrition, MusclePharm, Kaizen, etc. Not something a moron would be capable of.

I never recommended an 8 hour arm routine, but just because he did that doesn't mean everything else he advised is useless.

It's very shortsighted and naive to not see value in someone's experiences, whether positive or negative.
