    Electric muscle stimulators

That's right, I'm thinking about trying them for my chest. My right shoulder is literally fucked. I can't do anything without the entire joint feeling like it's going to crack. Even pushups with my knees on the ground hurt. Chest has always been my biggest (or smallest) problem. I worked hard the past year to get it up, without much luck tbh, but I also don't want to lose size now that I can't do any push activities. I Already stopped shoulder presses 6 months ago.

I'm wondering if doing light chest exercises in combination with EMS stimulating my chest will at least allow me to keep what I have now. Does anyone have any experience they'd like to share?

I do something very similar. I use my massage gun or doctor ho's to help me warm up. Initially had started doing this so that I could warm up properly while burning less sugar so that I could lift heavier. Not only did that happen, but also noticed that the less warm up sets meant less stress on my shoulder joint. I have a partially torn supraspinatus but can still bench 315 for 10+... I just cant do any heavier than 315 like 365 for example.

Haven't tried using the dr ho's intra workout but i've seen it on youtube. Brad rowe is one of the guys who uses it and praises it. Personally I feel like it would keep me from going heavy so I would really only go that route towards the end of a contest prep.

I really only use it for 5-10 mins and man, does it make a world of a difference. On chest day because I hit my entire muscle with my massage gun, I feel insane mind-muscle starting from my very first rep. Can't see myself going back to anything without two devices thats for sure.

I wasn't thinking specifically of "TENS" but I guess thats kinda the same thing. I was looking at it more for muscle stimulation while I let my shoulder heal, if it ever does. If it can add pain relief that would be great too.. My pain is mostly associated with movement, not when I sit still.

I've done Tens and Dry needling - those helped me.

    BPC+TB500

    PRP and /or SCT

    GH + Nandrolone

    Sauna 3x week

Some or all of above. Lots of options

GH, Deca , low dose var, bpc and tb. Throw the sink at it. That being said, seeing an Ortho would be step one. MRI would be smart. PRP shot did wonders for my torn infraspinatus.

I just got a partially torn infraspinatus too, hurts like mofo on shoulder and chest presses. Even lifting my arm straight up with no weight is a challenge. Verified with MRI and did a cortisone injection.
How many PRP shots did you do, how long before you felt better?

I have a TENS unit and I love it. Very effective for injuries. Helped me recovery from a strained bicep not long ago.

Did the ortho break down the specifics of the tear? Meaning that mine was 1/4 inch long and 40% of it's width. If it were over 50% of the width he would have opted for surgery. I was able to train chest as well as pressing moves for delts were no problem. He does not want me doing laterals ever again. I'll survive.

I did one PRP injection @ $1K. They were able to spin 5 ml of platelets. Ortho injected 4 ml throughout the area using ultrasound as a guide. It hurt. Couldn't lift my arm for 4-5 days. Takes time to work but I have no doubt that made a big difference.

I don't think he told me the width of the tear. He showed me the MRI photos and gave me the CD. The report says "M75.120 supraspinatus tendon tear right M75.4 bursitis subacromialis right". Fuck knows what that means. I'll ask next time I go back.

I'm surprised he didn't suggest a PRP shot.

Hmm the side side laterals are the only movement I can tolerate. It’s the bench, chest flys, and overhead presses that are really painful. My shoulder also pops in certain movements, did yours do that? What symptoms made you go to the dr?

Mine was just a painful ache in the rear delt area. Shoulder flyes became out of the question even with greatly reduced weight so i knew it was time to see the ortho. No popping for me.

I tried throwing a ball for the dog today and it was instantly regrettable. Mine hurts, but if I warm it up, I can tolerate a heavy set. The mind-muscle connection is gone though, all I can focus on is the pain. I think it's time for me to see an ortho. fuckin a.

I live in one of the smallest countries on the planet, maybe PRP hasn't made it here. I went for physio today, he read the reports and said it means it's 75% torn and proper lucky that it didn't fully rip. He gave me 50/50 chance that physio can teach my body to use other muscles and therefore skip surgery, as long as I give up lifting heavy with most shoulder exercises. If I want to lift heavy again, surgery is the only option. For me this is just a hobby, life goes on without heavy lifting. We'll see how it goes after the initial 2 weeks.

Damn, sorry to hear it's to that extent. My ortho would recommend immediate surgery at that point.
