Bad news family.....What would you do?

Over the weekend, my brother's girlfriend was shot by her ex-boyfriend, who later died of a heart attack from a drug overdose of PCP. I can't help but feel sorry for her, but at the same time, I'm concerned for my brother. This girl has a shady past and some shady people that she associates with. Since my brother has been dating her, he's blown off all his friends and doesn't keep his commitments. I'm afraid that he's being led down a destructive path and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

If she was shot he shouldnt have to worry about her anymore right....

Sorry i had too....lol On a serious note....In most cases theres not much you can do but hope they figure it out on their own. If he's that into her talking bad about her to him will only push him away from you and closer to her. Its a hard situation to be in. Good luck!

He's 33 going on 17. LOL. His head is sooo far up his butt, I don't think he could make the right decision. Thanks for the support.

At his age he should have his head on a little tighter. I'm 100% if I'm dating a woman and she hangs with shadey characters and then gets SHOT.......................HELLO internet dating! hahahaha

Best thing you can do is get him alone and have a serious talk with him. Other than that there's not much more you can do. Everyone leads their life as they want...same as you and I, although you and I might have a better grip on reality. Good luck Bomb.

If her getting shot does not wake him up, what will? Try to keep communication up between you two. Also, Jugger you do not ask a woman her age... But asking for pics is a different story. PM them to me bombshell, thanks

Thanks Juggernaut! I'm 31 and he's 33. We've ALWAYS been close, but since he's gone with this girl, he's kind of detached himself from family and friends. He only would come to my house if he needed a place to "do the nasty". I'm trying to just listen at this point, because if I keep saying he's messing up his life and needs to leave this chick, I'm certain that'll push him that much closer to her. I think he feels he needs to rescue her.

It's a sucky situation, but I have a great B/F who is a wonderful support system for me and not allowing it to consume my own life. Thanks again.

Pretty sad that my OLDER brother has to come to MY house to get laid. I know, we've all said that soooo many times it's like a freakin recording. He's afraid of commitment even with a house of his own. I should start charging him by the hour. I'd be RICH!!!! moaaawwwwwww!!!

My brother just turned 26 and he still doesn't have a head on his shoulders. I've pretty much given up the lectures and now I just let him be. I've detatched myself from him and have come to terms with the fact that he's a screw-up. Hopefully one day he will learn to become responsible for his own actions. I have been trying to teach him for many years now and he just doesn't get it. His brain is wired differently than most. Bomb, I'm not saying to abandon your brother or turn you back on him, I'm just saying that maybe at 33, he's not going to change and maybe its not worth putting a bigger rift b/w you two and the rest of your family and friends. Just my $0.02.
