Don't try to screw your tree guy.

So I do an emergency call last night and cut a tree off a power service line. I leave the debris and come back in the daylight to remove it. The landowner says I will be there to get you paid.

Tree gets loaded and I call him.
"Oh I will have to get you paid some other day, I am busy."

So I let him know I will not leave the property with the debris until I am paid.

"Oh well I am not used to doing things this way" he says.

    So I explain...
"I will unload the debris and leave it in the yard and send you a bill for my wasted time. I can't believe you want three trees just laying in the yard like this."

He replies, "but you were only supposed to cut down the one tree"

    Thats when I hang up...

My phone rings moments later, "I will be there at five to pay you."

A man can screw over a lot of people but never screw with a contractor you have hired. Its just a bad idea.

I don't even argue , if i am not paid at the exact moment the customer says i go to the police station have the cops call the customer and say I am filing theft of services charges on them .... everybody tends to start reaching for there wallet at that point .

I just dont understand how they can agree to a price, sign a contract, and then think... "i can weasel out of this."
I will always get my money or I will cost them so much money they will wish they had never called. I have used the theft of services argument before to get paid. People amaze me sometimes.

To be honest you are too big. I am borderline. Equipment and all its not easy scaling a tree at 270-300lb. Another reason I dropped cardio.

When I was a kid I had the record for climbing the highest on pretty much every tree in my housing estate. Never fell out of a tree either.
