ALA removes mercury from tuna fish?
I work at GNC now and have added a few vitamins to my diet (since i can get them at a major discount) like 4 grams of vitamin c, 800 I.U. of vitamin E, GNC MEGAMEN multivitamins, and 600 mgs of Alpha Lipoic Acid...now my reason for taking ALA is not only to remove free radicals which can cause cancer but I currently eat 12 oz. of tuna fish a day and am always being hassled by people about mercury poisoning...now I have read that ALA will remove heavy metals which have been stored in the body...does this include Mercury? Please God say yes so I can shut these people up and stop worrying about it myself. I want to say thanks ahead of time for all inputs.

yeah the amounts of mercury found in fish is usually sooo small - far too small to have any effect
and as long as you are takin anti-oxidants (vit c being the most beneficial) then you aint got nothin to worry about
ALA prob help as well
