    Maca and supplement stack

So I want to get some Maca soon and implement it into the humble supplement stack I already have.

Thing is, I don't want to be forking out every month for more and more supps so im thinking of dropping something in favour of introducing some Maca.

    What I take now is:

AM (first thing in the morning): 1g Tryptophan, 3.2g HGW, 250mg Tribulus Terrestris, 400mg Cod Liver Oil and 500mg L-Arginine

Lunch or Pre workout: 3.2g of HGW, 250mg of Tribulus, 500mg L-Arginine and two creatine capsules

    Evening/Bed: 1g Tryptophan, 250g of Tribulus, 500mg ZMA, 500mg L-Arginine, 400mg Cod Liver Oil

I was thinking of dropping Tribulus or HGW. Thing is I have used Tribs in the past with great results, however I also have read that Maca works really well with HGW, but doesn't HGW already contain 33% Maca?

Also do those doses look okay? The HGW doses are what is recommended, however I have recently been increasing the Trypt and L-Arginine doses.

Should I just add it to this supplement stack or can I afford to drop something? I did buy most of this from a supplement store so I will probably switch to something online which will be invariably cheaper. I keep hearing/reading great things about this supplement!

Many supplements include both Maca and HGW (pre-mixed), because in fact they do work well together. However, Maca and HGW are derived from 2 different plants, and neither contains any percentage of the other. Personally, I think the combination will put Tribulus to shame

    My only suggestions would be:

    1. Move 1gr Tryptophan from Bedtime to Lunch.
--- Reason: You need this to be activated and converted into 5 HTP & Serotonin while you're awake.

    2. Arginine dose is super entry level. Consider at least doubling.
--- Reason: 500mg is not enough to increase vessel circumference, the main reason we need Arginine.

    3. Get Maca and try it without Tribulus, if all goes well, drop Tribulus.
--- Reason: The combinations list of benefits includes everything Tribulus does and much much more.

    4. Get Vitamin E and start taking it at the same time you take Cod Liver Oil.
--- Reason: Vitamin E will protect the essential fatty acids so that they don't mostly go to waste.

    Hooray, supplements!

Thanks Aust, knew you'd be the first to respond!

Right now the bottle of L-Arginine I have only recommends 500g A DAY! Which is why i've tried upping it to 1.5g a day (spread out three times during the day), but you still think more? Increase from 500mg to 1g for morning, noon and night, for a total of 3g a day?

Okay will shift the Tryptophan to lunch times. Out of all these ones, Tryptophan is amazing...I cant get over how much better my sleep is and how much "better" it makes a guy feel. I slept for about 9 hours straight last night, uninterupted....superb stuff!

I get paid next week, I have still have plenty of supps, except the HGW is running low...will get some more with Maca next week and give it a go.

    Supplement enhanced for life!! lol

Yes, increase Arginine. 3 grams is much better for the day.

Ok, if tryptophan is helping you sleep that good (since the final conversion is melatonin), continue to take it at bedtime. But a lunch dose is a must. So you can try splitting the bedtime dose into 2 doses (500mg lunch, 500 bed). The high dose is perfect for the morning. Very glad you're responding to this.
