Anyways about the original question, its funny that just 2 nights ago I was watching "Save the Last Dance" with my brother (it was on tv assholes) and we were talking about how the white girl starts to hang out with the black girls and suddenly shes cool because she says things like "slamming" and talks with an attitude. Its absolutely embarassing that movie directors think this way.

They show cartoon superheroes eating bigmacs in commercials, so kids eat bigmacs thinking they will be like the superheroes. They sell these diet pills on TV and show sexy people as if the pills will make you sexy - if you are ugly you will be still be ugly only slimmer. Also, if you don't change your diet and don't work out you will just look like nicole richie, skin and bones - not to mention that you can permanently f*ck up your thyroid. All these big companies are evil, they don't give a rat's ass about the consumer, just profits.

I think in order to make the best of the future we need to start forgeting about the past. the women acting "girlfriend" aren't stupid or ignorant that's just how black women talk by and large, and it doesn't make them any more stupid or ignorant than speaking in any given dialect. if the ad's are targeting black women then they want the ad's to relate to black women, and that's why they don't have a couple of middle aged white men playing golf and speaking newscaster aka nonregional diction.

meh i've spend quiite a bit of time around black women because my first year in college was in the black dorm and also i had a job. now i'm not saying that alot fo the girls weren't from the ghetto, but they weren't by and large stupid, ignorant people who weren't fun to be around, or worthless human beings. i would say they were alot of fun to be around esp. from someone from a kind of prim and proper background.

He told me never in the 25 years of life was he ever called Black or mixed until moving to the US. In Germany he was German. Not white German or black German or mixed German. Just German.
