what a surprise. i swear, they're down about 15% of the time in general. that's why i'd never pay for an account with them. they're too unreliable. i mean, if they can't even keep their site up and running, how am i even supposed to trust that they're so "secure"???

my way of avoiding any problems with situations like this is to keep backup txt or doc files of any and all info from the web that is vital to me. might want to do the same from now on to save yourself the hassles like this one.

just get a few floppy disks or blank cd's and burn the stuff you need onto them. either of the two are cheap.

as far as what is safer, not sure how secure the e-mail servers are, but i do know people are trying to hack into them on a daily basis. on the other hand, most hackers are not really interested in most peoples personal computers. that combined with using a firewall should tend to keep you away from any problems. regardless, i keep mine on floppy just in case.
