My dad just sold his '02 escalade EXT and sold it and just bought a '07 escalade EXT (same as escalade mpg wise) and his gas bill was about $65 every time he filled up (thing has a huge tanks; you can go 500+ miles on one tank!). He averaged about 14-15 mpg in the city and I think 17-18 mpg on the highway. The '07 is super sick! I can post a pic when he gets home from work tonight at around 6 or 7 if you want to see it.
Basically, it just depends what you would use more....does it snow where you live; would 4 wheel drive be needed?
If you have the money, a slightly used CTS-V 6-speed would be sick if your into the cars...
Anyways ask me if you have any more questions.

If your debating between those two cars I don't think gas should be an issue.

What it cost to fill the tank isnt the issue its the mpg that cost you. I have a awd v8 mountaneer. It gets 13-14 mpg

The DTS is a perfect car. My boyfriend has one with heated seats, seats that cool you also, seperate climate control, Northstar V8 that blows rice rockets off the block, etc. I love it.

See I currently own a car that takes 93 octane only, so its costing me $55 every time i fill up the 14.5 gallon tank...i average 16.6/mpg in my car.. If you're telling me the Escalade isnt much difference MPG wise then its only the matter of the tank size. What grade gas does the Escalade run on?

I work at Budget car& Truck rentals and i was told buy a customer that to fill a Escalade was 140.00 canadian at a 1.18 a litre.
I drove a Escalade and a 100kilometer i pull in 25dollars canadian and that was a little over 1/8 of tank all city driving.
There isn't a big difference in gas unless you are doing highway 19mi per gal for a Escalade, and for a deville at 34mi per gal. There very close when it comes to city driving.I did drive the Deville many times at work great handling car with all the bells and whisles.Just test drive the both of them first.Best of luck!

why the dts???dont like the sts?? pick the car that is best for you. but i know me being in socal i probably would not buy a truck because gas is supa killa yet, im seriously thinking about getting a charger r/t which im sure is a guzzler.so it all comes down to what you want and what you are willing to sacrifice in terms of gas

Honestly, I'd get the Escalade. The gas won't be too much more, and generally trucks depreciate in value less than cars. Plus all the extra room inside is worth the extra gas. Once you have a truck, you never want a car again.
