I am 22, and I really can't think of what the problem would be. I mean I would have no problem dating/hanging out with an older woman as long as she was cool and we enjoyed each others company. And if we had never really known each other b4 I would stil AT LEAST feel it out to see if she was a cool chick. Especially if the chick looked as good as you pink. The only remote possiblility I can even think of would be that MAYBE it would be that he is intimidated by an older woman who is more "settled" in life or maybe jsut the social aspects of dating an older woman simply because you may have a compeltely different ring of friends or activities due to your lifestyles/jobs etc.. I dunno, I am jsut thinking of possiblilities. I, personally, would have no problem with it, but then again many people tell me I am very mature for my age or that they never would have guessed I was as young as I am once I tell them I am only 22.

Oh yea, one other thing I could imagine might POSSIBLY be the problem is he is probably ASSUMING a bunch of things based on your age, like maybe he assumes you only want a long term relationship/marriage etc or something like that.

seems a bit odd tht it is just an age issue. tht kinda makes me think he's lying, cause i don't think 8 years is too big. never dated an older woman but i wouldnt be against it if everything else about her was cool. don't be so hard on urself tho, everyone draws the line at a different place. you for example may not want to date a guy in his fifties. granted tht is a much bigger difference than this case but everyone has their reasoning as to where they draw the line, perhaps he has had a bad experience with an older woman before

There's a group of us sport riders....and, one in particular who I think is quite attractive; but never thought about pursuing.
I find out he thinks I'm attractive as well...and was going to ask me out.

Than he found out my age....I'm 31. He's 23.

Now he says he can't get over the age difference!

Give me some thoughts here.....is it really that big of a deal? Guaranteed if the situation was reversed this wouldn't be an issue.

I would never go out with him now. If a guy is really attracted and is interested....he'd ask no matter what. I certainly wouldn't let age deter from getting in the way of knowing someone...as cool as (what I think) I am!

But, what are your thoughts...would any of you have a problem with the age difference? I don't think I look my age....but now after he said that..phuck do I feel old!
