tyson scares people to death before he gets into a fight, thats how he wins

ali would out box tyson but if tyson got a good clean shot with one of his uppercuts it could be devastating

Both in prime, Tyson hands down.

I saw too many Ali fights where he just dance around his opponent, and never punched near as hard as tyson.

Theres no dancing around Tyson. He came out blazing. Ali would be down in 3, maybe less.

Tyson was a beast and could take hits like no other man, hell, Tyson wasnt a man...a ****ing animal.

I dont know the first thing about boxing. But watching tyson in his prime was just awsome. Like watching jaws when he comes from below and **** you up.

Seems like tyson lost his ability to move and started relying on just punching hard?

did you forget how great of a chin ali had? i know i know tyson had devastating punches and i understand that 100% but ali was an all out boxer. he knew how to use the ring to his advantage. im a tyson guy dont get me wrong but saying ali would be out in 3 maybe less is not exactly how i would see it

He lost his trainer and started training his own way..your right, he stopped moving and just stood there trying to knock ppl out in the first round. He could have been one of the all time greats.

i think he is in boxing fan's eyes...he was the youngest person to ever win a belt(i think he was 18 or 20 im not sure) and held it for many years, not consecutively but overall. he is an all time great for me

    tyson might look stronger
but if u put moe with tyson in the ring
moe would win due to agility and sharp fast accurate punches
while tyson would stand in one place waiting to get that one deadly punch

Have you not seen Tyson in his prime? The reason why he had knockouts all in the first round? He came out attacking. You have to move to attack. I just watched tyson knockouts on ESPN classic, and he came out alive and moving. Someone that fast, agressive, strong, and tough.

Ali just danced around, but Tyson moved with a purpose. Agressiveness

tyson depends on fear and agressivnes thats how he wins, he scare others to death before fighting
while ali wouldnt do this, he thought he was invincible and thats how he gained confidence that made him a legend

If both were in their prime I believe Tyson would have the advantage. Look at the footage from the "Rumble in the Jungle". Ali needed a strategy against George Foreman who was also a very powerful puncher so he invented the "rope-a-dope." Does anyone really think the "rope-a-dope" would be effective against Mike Tyson? I mean, I believe Tyson has more power than Foreman had. Tyson would come in and pepper him with 2 and 3-hit combinations. Every one of those punches would be delivered with devastating power. If Ali dropped his guard for even a second he would be put in SERIOUS trouble. Either fighter would have a good chance of winning but I give the advantage to Tyson.

great point..but in all honesty ali would be smart enough not to pull the rope-a-dope against a tyson caliber fighter. ali knew that foreman would tire himself out and then ali could attack. the thing was that ali didnt know foreman would last for as long as he did. but i think tyson would pull it out, like i said im a tyson guy

Hopefully. It would definitely be an interesting fight no matter who won. I would pay a LOT of money to see it.

Ali could take a punch, plus he was the better technician(although I don't think Tyson gets enough credit for his boxing skills). So, I'd say Ali via UD.
