I agree with a lot of what he said. People are too hooked up on listening to doctors prescribing bullshit drugs to treat bullshit "disorders".

Scientology is a joke.
Just like Tom Cruise is.
Everyone cares to much.
My cousin just had a baby boy, how come she isnt on the news.

I really love how everyone worries about Tom and Katie's baby, or brad and Angelina. Give me an efin break man. The world is about to go to hell in a handbasket. War and corruption is everywhere. The AIDS epidemic is greater than ever. So many people die of starvation everyday. Natural disasters are tearing the earth apart.
And we worry about some moron's baby. Get a grip. And I wont limit it to American's, cause exploitation is everywhere.

Most of the drugs that are out there aren't cures. That doesn't stop anyone from taking them.

I have ADHD and Yes i could live without ritalin - but the quality of life i have would be different. I'm like a kitten with strings - my attention span is that of a young child. Does it make me smarter NO.. but what it does do is allow me to work and achieve my full potential. Rialin helps to kepe me on play rather than fast forward.

Even so, I've seen the drugs work on people with ADD/ADHD. It's your choice, of course, as to whether or not your son takes these meds. I just don't want you to think these are "bullshit disorders" because people suffer from them every day. The drugs they take also help them lead normal lives.

I have dealt with ADHD for my entire life and i have not been on ritalin for all of it BTW.
But id agree with scriptfactory - medication does make lives a lot better - if truly necessary. sometimes job changes or life changes make issues stand out a bit more.

i think that's where the problem lies. Is that for someone who takes these meds and doesn't really require them - it makes them feel like superman , able to do things 10 times as fast etc..
But for someone who actually has ADD/ADHD - these medications give one the ability to function like everyone else.

Of course the meds help. If I wasn't sleeping enough b/c of a circadian arrythmia, I could just do some coke and never be tired. Problem solved!
If I had ED or loss of desire, well, just pop some viagra and ecstasy and I'd be good to go!
You (not you specifically) keep advocating meds while others use ways to SOLVE these problems, not just control them.

Just because they haven't found the cause of ADHD - there is alot of evidence to show that medication does alleviate symtoms those with the disorder actually have.

wtf is wrong with ADHD?? is there a problem with being hyper-active? why do people see it as a disorder at all? MANY MANY genius scientists and inventors had ADHD and were always on the go. ADHD can be a blessing for some.
ADD, however, is just a cop-out. "Okay I have ADD because it's hard for me to pay attention to the teacher in class. can you give me a drug for that?" give me a f*cking break.
Americans rely on drugs way too much now...
drugs for sleep, drugs for sex, drugs for attention, drugs for happiness, and we even give drugs to people with drug addictions!!!

Like I wrote that myself bud. My thoughts exactly. The sad part is many parents are having their kids prescribed ritalin because they are hyper and it's hard for them to pay attention.....DUH there kids! And ppl are wondering why children nowadays are getting so fat. There all drugged up and are to lazy to go out and play!

There is nothing wrong with being hyper - in my day to day live - where it becomes a problem is at my corporate office, where i need to listen and actually be taken seriously. The office is not my palyground - yes this has been said before..
Maybe i chose the wrong profession... but it's too late now
Steroids r drugs too you know
Most people speak from experience or lack thereof. I do think people use disorders/diseases as an excuse, and drugs r given out way to easily - but it's not the case in every instance.
