i agree. simply talking to other people really helps with depression, even if you're only talking to another guy.

We could tell you what makes us happy but that wouldn't help you much, only you know what makes you happy. Just keep busy and don't think about it so much, you will get over it and meet someone else and everything will be fine. Like Audis said meet some buddies, go to the gym and just surround yourself with people who are close to you and people you love, when i'm feeling a little down i try to meet up with friends and EAT.

If you wanna get your break up out of your head try and help someone else acheive something don't be so inwardly focused and help someone else.

my advice is to keep busy and fill up your time with things that keep your mind moving. i had a gf of 3 years that i broke up with 6 months ago or so. it sucked but on the posotive side, it let me clear my head and focus on things i couldnt b4
find some things you are passionate about and focus on them. i recently graduated school and got a job as a commercial real estate broker, so i now have the time to work late, research, and read books/articles on my career to be better at what i do. $$$$$
try a new workout plan...if you used to go 5 days a week, change to 3 days a week. the new routine will keep you looking forward to the gym to make gains, start a new supplement or mass stack to get you motivated to see gains and be on point....plan a vacation for around spring break time with your boys...youll be hitting the gym with more intensity then you can believe and youll have something to work for and look forward too ( especially if you lookup pictures of skinny weird guys covered in women on those trips)
and again for me, staying busy worked, ive always worked as a bouncer for either concerts or clubs, i started working on the weekends at some clubs/bars at the jersey shore and having the random women come up to you b/c you wearing a security shirt on stage really takes your mind off things.
this may be the longest reply ive ever written on the board but its what helped me get through my time

u know what made me get over my ex- everytime i thought about her i either, hit the gym and tore myself apart(got me huge) with the mindset of making her jealous by talking 2 one of her friends n the future or if i was really upset i'd run until i threw up....might sound stupid but it gets ur mind off the gal reeeeeal quick

Working on the farm, helping out community ed wrestling, lifting, living good, training mma(fight in december). Its not what makes us happy but what would make you happy. If it was meant to be it would be but it didn't so its not meant to be so you need to stop sweating it. We are here for a short time so you need to at least do things that make you happy well your here

I used the gym to surpress my hurt and i ended up getting sick. I was in the gym 7 days a week killing myself
What is going to make the pain easier is time. Right now you need to hang out with friends and be around positive people. People will tell you they undersstand but they don't unless they been through it. Just take your time and be man enough to cry it out . Just find some chick you are close with. Crying is bad enough (in my eyes but i did it) but to do it with your buddy =
but in the end it helps, trust me , been there done that and its very hard.

Sitting out on my balcony on a cold morning/evening w/ a cup of coffee, just thinking about life and the big picture. Going to the gym is def. a great one too, you almost always feel relieved about life and it's pressure after a good workout, spending time on AR,hahahahhah. I would not resort to drinking excessively. A beer or two is fine to help you socialize, but dont get hammered.

"Conan, what is best in life?"
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women."
"Good!!"
Go to the gym and take out your anger on the weights. Afterwards, rent Conan the Barbarian (if you don't already own it), buy a big steak, some pasta, veggies, etc. Then go home, cook yourself dinner and watch Conan. Later, visit AR and bond with the boys.
