I like going to see shows (Broadway, theater,), Museums, SHOPPING!, I'm not picky, I just want to get out as much of it as I can.

Well elmira, is in upstate newyork, new york city... go see the Tree. FAO shwarts, crazy cool toy store...Seeing shows is a big deal, there cool, but finding tickets this late is rare. But if you get lucky enough to go see one, they truly are amazing. Rockafella center (sp) its cool as hell, you can go ice skating around there, its just a fun place to be. Ill be there for new years lol

I know! We'll only be there for a week! I wish I was staying longer, but I don't have that much time off from work!

Have fun! Wish I could get away this year. I usually try to get away to somewhere warm for Christmas. Never been to New York yet. The shows are supposed to be amazing. Aswell, you could go to the TV studios (CBS & NBC, ect) and watch the filming of TV shows.

Most bars and clubs are open until 4am and serve alchohol until then and then they close at around 5 or 6am, then you have after hours that are pretty much the same but at 4am they stop selling liqour but you can still buy juice water etc. On Sunday restaurants don't and are not allowed to serve alchohol until 12noon and liquour stores are not allowed to sell it either. I know some cool places if you are interested, just tell me what you like and i can direct you.

Don't forget, some after hours parties run 24 hours. They stop liquor at 4am and start serving again in the afternoon.

PARIS - if your plan on going to a broadway show, get the tickets now. you cant just get them while your here, especially during the holiday season. you most likely will have to go through stubhub.com or something. i might add that you should also think about seeing the rockettes xmas show at radio city music hall. For a Broadway show Id reccomened Wicked at the gershwin theatre. i saw it last month with my gf and she loved it.
places you might want to go to party:
turtle bay bar and lounge on 52nd and 2nd - big ass college type bar. can be fun
mo's carribean bar and grill on 76th and 2nd - good eats and drinks, decent prices, always packed, and home of the 60oz margherita, they play 80s music so its fun.
the saloon on york ave and 96th, great bar/club. playlist varies from house, to rock to 80s to whatever.
MUSEUMS: def go visit the museum of natural history. that place is awesome, you can spend like 10 hrs in there.
also check out the Guggenheim. im actually going tonight. they have special events on friday nights where you look at art, drink and socialize.
