i could care less about killing people. people are flawed with reason and choice. wild animals... are different.

i was a vegetarian for five years and currently only eat chicken and fish, but given some arguments here i may return to such limited edibles.

lastly, i just wanted some views, didn't really want to incite anger. hunters are a different species to me. i don't understand how you can look a deer in the eyes as it takes its last breath knowing you were the cause. not sayin you're wrong, sayin i don't understand it... at all.

except for the guys that kill sh1t for fun. you guys are tools

I whole heartedly agree with this entire post. Now I respect how Native Americans or Aborigines hunt...because it's their way of life, they bare the animal they are hunting no malice and have the upmost respect for nature. Nothing is wasted. Hunting for "sport" is cowardly. The difference between men and beast is the power of invention. That's what has made us the dominant species on the planet. I'd love to see you hunting boys catch a deer with nothing but your bare hands and natural tracking abilities. Stick a regular human in the middle of the jungle with nothing but his wits and he goes from being the dominant life form on the planet to just another form of prey.

i like the guys that stalk animals with a camera, shoot it, then we can all enjoy it. that bein said, i do see the need for population control, just don't know why half the population can do it and the other half is repelled by it.

maybe its cuz we've evolved!!! i look down upon you hunter/gatherers

Hunting is a very important part of maintaining wildlife. Nature alone is not enough. They once did a study in Yellowstone National Park where they did not allow Elk hunting. You want to know what happend? Well there got to be some many that the natural vegitation was not enough to support all of them and they ended up in peoples back yards looking for food. Now they allow xxxxxx amount of elk hunting to ensure this does not happen agian. This is JMO. and you all can form your own.
I mentioned this aa well. Granted, many of the overpopulation problems were caused by us in one way or another.

Anyone who has taken a hunter safety course knows their place.

FVCKIN TREE HUGGERS!!! My father owns a Carribou guide camp, Ive been hunting since I was a child, I love it, I also eat anything that I kill. Its NOT murder, you eat cow and pig that were killed in a slaughter house, Wear shoes and shit that has leather from cow or whatever on them. And not many people complain about that. Some people need to be more open minded.

Hunting is about a lot of things. I look at the whole experience aside from blasting some stupid animal’s brains out. Its one of the only times that I am in the mountains in its pure setting. You see nature in a different view and you learn to respect it. Its also a rare time that I get to spend time with just the boys, most importantly my father and brother. It forces you to help each other. All in all its like a glorified camping trip. You go to spend quiet time with nature, your closest friends, and relaxing. Not only that, but shooting a high-powered rifle is fun. It is a skill to hold the gun steady with your heart pounding and still hit something 500 yards away. Those who said its not a sport doesn’t know sports from their dick and most likely never played any real sports. If you don’t like shooting animals, that’s fine, the world needs pussies too. JMHO.

Ps, I was only 190, now im 215 with a 9% body fat. Not that size matters.

I agree with this bigtime. I grew up hunting with my father and my friends, now I have gotten my sisters into it also. It is a great way to spend time together. And yeah, its fun. I hunt not only dear, but bear, Wolf, ( legal in Canada) coyote, Carribou, elk, Couger etc. Anything that moves really. But any edibal meat, we take it all home. We have more wild meat in our freezers than store bought crap any day of the week.

The REAL hunters are the ones that go after cats, something that

I am a man, no question about it. So are you, I assume. Death is apart of life for us and its no different for anything else. However, this is my world and these animals are here for me to enjoy, pet, ride, eat, kill or whatever because I have domain over them.

Your argument about hunting for fun is cruel and hunters are fvcked up for enjoying has no merit at all.

By arguing according to your logic, keeping an animal as a pet is fvcked up because we are using them for our personal enjoyment when they should be in the wild doing what their innate nature would be (hunting / fvcking).

So, ya, imo, you’re a pussy. That’s okay, bro. Don’t rebut it, your argument blows; just shut up.

true, thats what I like about hunting bear, both blac and Grizzly. I use both a bow or a rifle for black, but Im not stupid, so I use my 338 ultra mag for grizz. I know of some people who use bow for grizz, but I dont think Id want to take that chance, unless I had a backup rifle. But out of season in Canada, our " brilliant" government, makes that illegal.

totally agree with both of you...

and Carguy that is mad, I don't think I have the testicular fortitude to try and take a grizzly with a bear...fvcking insane! I'm definitely intrigued though

Um, I think putting a bullet in my dogs head and having him as a companion are not the samething. I dont know about you, but I dont plan on shooting my dog and planting his head up on my wall, but I suppose if I eat him its ok...

I think killing animals for food like chicken and cows is ok, I respect the people who are vegetarians and the religions that do not eat meat but killing other animals for sport is just not right in my opinion. I agree with Steve PJC, that we don't eat Elephants or lions and so we should not kill them.

    Take care bros.

You are a real hunter. I bet that 338 will pack a punch. I would not
go hunting bear with a bow. But my hat if off to those that do. I would
at least have a 44mag for back up if using bow.

how much clomid are you running? i'll bet your wife is the one that gets out of the car and changes the tire in the rain while you sit in the car and listen to celien dion.

nothing wrong with being extremely sensitive and emotional, im just used to seeing that trait in women.

also is your screen name a reference to your girl, because surely it can't be referring to you?

i feel ya, and that makes sense. there have been a number of reasonable posts just like this one that help to illuminate that side of the argument... dunno why some people had to get so heated just cuz i call into question something they do

yeah, good analogy, taking an animals life and feeding and caring for one.
sh1t how did i miss that one.

don't talk to me about argument or logic, i've far surpassed you're sixth grade education. lets restrict your mumblings to the issue of hunting, ok

nothing wrong with being extremely sensitive and emotional, im just used to seeing that trait in women.

also is your screen name a reference to your girl, because surely it can't be referring to you?

so here's the inevitable conclusion after reading over this:

by and far the most childish arguments/comments/name calling came from the hunters side. not all of them, some helped to articulate the mindset, but most made that side look pretty ridiculous.

maybe thats why the rest of the world doesn't take you all very seriously... just a bunch of overzealous killers taking advantage of a spot on the food chain they had no part in acquiring.
