315 for reps at 180, no straps, regular grip... i know its weak sauce but my grip gives out and i'm trying to grow my forearms so no straps for now...

Yo Captain D, whats your main lift on back days now that you don't do deads?

At december i still thought i'd compete this year, so the goal was 230 by march.. i was a little above 210 at the time.

Now that i know i'm not competing, i thought it'd be cool to get shredded for my wedding. lol

But this first to 700 deadlift challenge is a bit too sexy to resist.

What is your rep range? My warm up is 8-10 reps and working sets 4-6 reps. Max rep 1-2 reps.

    What kind of injury?
Well its slightly complicated, actually it started out as what i thought was an injury, however after i got it x rayed it turns out i have a large benign tumor near my scapula which doesnt allow me squat heavy or deadlift at all
those were once my best lifts, however i still go heavy on Dbell rows, and occasionally barbell rows, i plan on getting it removed in a year or so...its all good tho..

Just did 325X10 today thats my best at 189Lbs. It was crazy because I just did my first injection yesterday in my right quad and it is sore as hell. My grip sucks, Im a puss and use straps.

i was deadlifting 405 x 6 at about 190lbs, with straps and alternate grip.

then, after afew back/pelvis problems (only minor i think) i slacked off on deads for acouple of months. have just started doing them, lighter, with 315 x 10 reps regular (overhand) grip. i am doing them after pullups, so the 315 feels heavier.

after reading this thread, i may have to up the weight again and work at 4-6 reps

770 Sumo at 272. 720 conventional at 295. I've switched from powerlifting to strongman several years ago. Strongman doesn't allow sumo so I've been working on my conventional. Hopefully I'll hit 800 by the end of the year.

I'm in the same boat. My bench is WEAK compared to squats and deads.

What's your usual bodyweight Doc? non-competitive weight i mean

The first great pull i had was when i was cutting for nationals in 2005.

    A couple weeks out i was a depleted 170 lbs.. and i pulled 495.

Afterwards my weights continued to go up (plateauing at 545 x 3).. but not as drastically as when i was cutting.

    hm.

I'm about 40 lbs heavier now than i was then.. but i can't say that i'm impressed with my lift.

Maybe i'd better start cutting again.

198lbs (old contest weight) pulled 515 @ a USAPL meet. That was last yr. Moving up to 220 this year. I have a state meet in march. Should hit close to 600 in a DL suit. Yesterday I did 545 x 1 x 5. Training starts monday for the state meet.
