    undertraining vs overtraining

    whats your guys ratio from undertraining to overtraining...how would you tell the average person the difference ?

    hmmmm well i personally pretty much believe that most people's definition of overtraining is a bunch of huey.

    Well undertraining is when you dont do enough to stimulate growth. Overtraing is whenyou dont let your body rest and it hurts your CNS and you get sick and dont grow

    Exactly, but what I think it really comes down to is under RECOVERY.

    I think you can train your ass off, as long as you are getting adequate nutrition on a steady basis. I think people who feel they are over training, are often under nourishing themselves to an extent.

    Definite over training IMO, would be anything more than 2 days in a row, any body part worked more than 1-2 X a week on a good routine or some crazy amount of volume.

    U need a day off once or twice a week..
    but!
    other than that, if u dont have motivation to go to the gym, pop a caffeine pill or down a redbull, n get your ass in there!

    hahahahahhahahah i lift 6 on 1 off and i do more sets than most people can fathom and i'm not overtraining, stronger than i've ever been

    I find it hard to determine that for myself so I just work the hell out of each muscle once a week on the same day. Some muscles I feel like I could only take a couple day break but I haven't messed with it too much.

    I wish there was some study on this.....I guess its just genetics. I too work one muscle out a day sometimes two...

    arnold's and ronnie coleman's training are for me......hardcore kick ass intense......yeah buddaayy....light weight....make your muscles beg for mercy and then hit em some more.....go heavy or go home
