"300" The Movie
This looks good!
Finally - Spartans like I imagined them when I was a kid!

These guys trained pretty hard...maybe even gear (the main character)
It's the guy from the Tomb Raider Gerard Butler
Before
After
pretty impressive!

I can't wait to see this movie. Me and some friends from work are already planning a "long lunch" when it comes out.

The movie trailer def. makes this movie look killer! The only thing I'm wondering is how much fantasy/magic they are going to get involved, there is a slight change (very slight), it might get ruined in the "overall" sense if they get a little carried away with weird LOTR kinda shit.

I think maybe some of the musculature may be computerized. Like, the overall look of the movie( i saw the preview last nite at the movies) looks kinda glossy like, maybe. Like everything looks like there is a slight computerized cartoonish glaze over it. I think maybe they also took liberties and enhanced the muscels in some of the scenes.
that training video was crazy. I do think some of it is unnescessay though. Alot of that stuff is awkward movements, great way to get injured, just for a movie. Im sure they should do some of that stuff, but the guy even said "they never do the same workout twice" so they dont adapt or whatever, but on the negative side of that its also harder to judge progress. I wonder if at least they kept the weight routine the same. I mean sure they looked ripped, but im wondering if maybe they coulda even got more muscular if they had a more normal routine. But then again, they were trainng to look like spartans, not a bodybuilder. I dunno.

psyched about this flick ... doesnt bother me them cats is skinny and ripped ... i dig realism ... them spartans were some amazing athletes and warriors at low bodyweight and natty training ... dont get me wrong, i loves me some juice, and like marvel super heroes on cycle ... but with true historical flicks, i dig realism ...
