I didn't make the decission, the board owners did.. one must admit that it really didn't add alot to the credibility of the board..

plus, on the upside look what it did to the post counts..

i thought it was a little funny anyway..

same could be said for MANY threads......I thought thats what the lounge was for....at the top of the lounge page--it says off topic discussion--talk about whatever you want... although the postwhore thread definitley didnt add much AAS knowledge to the board...It kept other areas unclogged for that AAS discussion...

While the lounge serves to 'talk about what you want'...there was very little actual 'talking' in the postwhore thread

There were pages upon pages of 'nfngdgnd' 'dfgsdfmgkldf'

Which is frigging ridiculous.

This is not what AR is about.

I've locked it myself a slew of times.

Members were told why.

You know what members did?

Start a new thread..

It's like administrating to a bunch of pre-schoolers.

And it's the same bunch who do it the same time.

Members are respected... and what do they do?

They show no respect for administration.

If you were referring to me my thinking was possibly say its going to be deleted before its just deleted. Not lock it and post dialogue...which I never said and my statement covers many previous things that I wont go into right at this point.

A simple lock would not have given them any more bandwidth if that was the reason. it did take up a lot of space that could be used for what this board was created for...KNOWLEDGE !!!
