well, im not older and more experienced. well, im 21. If i could do anything differetnly, from the ages of 14-18, i would have done the weightlifting program that our knowledgable weightlifting coach for football outlined for us. I wasnt doing my own retarded goddmaned thing, maybe i would be far and away better than what i am now, even though i am gettin to be pretty good now

i gotchya, but here is a good one

I really ****ed up the first 2 years of school....I had enough easy classes, that i got plenty of b's, but i really ****ed up some of the important classes. Unfortunately, after i started applying myself, i realized that i am actually quite smart and skies the limit with potential. the unfortunate part is, i dont know if i can recover from my first year and a half of school to get into the grad school i want to get in. I know i am probably going to be more qualified than a lot of people applying, becausei have had a harder course load which is a big step above what most people take, but it wont show on paper, and i dont know if i can recover my gpa. I am going to have a 3.0, no doubt, but most people getting in have a 3.5. I migh have a chance though, because most of these people with 3.5's have had the lower level classes and i have had the higher level ones

I would have took the free ride to college on a wrestling scholarship that I had lined up...but I was young & dumb, thought I was in love and didn't want to let go of the girl I was with (for 3 years) at that point in my life...needless to say, 6 months after high school, we split and off to the Marine Corps I went.

    I have no regrets.

I used to wish I had not played football my senior year at hs--I had it made in baseball--my dad scouted for the Astros and I was being looked at by teams but I didnt listen to my dad and played football and ended up with a major wrist injury and was in a brace, cast and surgery on and off for 1 1/2 years. I was a catcher so could not bend wrist back to catch fastballs and was out too long---3 years later at 20 years old was invited to try out but decided not to make fool out of self--
always regreted this till 9 years ago when had my son and now would not go back for nothing taking a change never to have him

impressive lifts at 240, what were his deadlift numbers? toast a shot from me to him when you guys hit the bar.it is always sad to see one of our own pass at an early age, it never gets any easier.

armbar--yea I was a brown belt under one school that trained bjj and submission fighting(sort of cage training ,American jiu jitsu which is like submission wrestling) then my old instructor changed to straight brazialian jiu jitsu when he brought a couple of brazilians. we had a purple teach for awhile than he merged with a black belt straight out of brazil. I trained with him for about 6 months then the schools had alot of drama and fell apart. I went with the brazilian black belt he is a black belt under Carlson Gracie and I am a blue belt(gave up my rank) for 3 years now under him--should be at least a purple but 5 compression bulged and degenerative disks has limited me the last 2 years

I would of moved out of the shyt hole town I live in now when my best friend did 2 years ago,

I would of never enrolled into college here and just got a PT cert and started there.

I also never would of bought my truck (which is for sale now) and kept my grand Prix,

belive it or not those three things would of changed my whole life beyond what you could imagine,

i would have stayed and played in college. i left college to turn pro at 18. money was flashed and i didnt know any better. i thought i was the greatest athlete ever. lol. i am sure i would have lasted longer than 4 years as a pro if i had honed my game in college. by the time i was peaking (at least i thought so) they had already invested 4 years in me and they were unwilling to pay me any longer. each hockey player is different but i usually advise a guy to get some college time under his belt. of course, i might have snapped my leg in 5 places in college and never made the pros but whatever. definitley not a regret. life turned out just fine but if given that chance again i would have played a few years in college. also, maybe i would have learned to type and spell.
