I prefer the Z. My friend just got one black with leather black interior its really nice, and fast.

Ive only driven the G35 coupe before...they are fun as hell to drive..theyre pretty quick & they maneuver really well. My friend has a 350Z, he has driven both he has told me they are both pretty similar but he likes his Z better.. so who knows.
Looks to me like they are pretty much identical in speed/maneuverability but only differ in looks so theres your choice..

PRO AND CONS
-G35 Can seat 4 350Z can seat 2. So the G35 is definitly advantageous there but Im 2 ppl or less 95% of the time. I can also take my moms car if that rare occasion I need to seat more the 2.
-350Z would cost a whole lot less.
-G35 is more luxurious
-350Z I prefer the dials and the sporty interior
-350Z is more rare
-Insurance? I have no idea, Ill need to find outLast edited by Prada; 04-15-2007 at 02:08 PM.

listen....I had the 2004 g35 coupe..I traded it in for my 06 is 350 lexus....IMO, I would wait til the new model comes out the end of the summer......this body style started in 03 & is now 4 years old & starting to become dated...... the next generation will be MUCH improved in every way. the value of the present body style has dropped a lot in the past few months due to the fact that the new model will soon be arriving...Its a nice ride for sure....but its going to become dated really quickly & the value will drop even faster, making it harder to get rid of & worth MUCH less later on. If you dont care about that.........then get the one you like better....the platform & drivetrain are identical..here was mine..

Im with getnjakked. If you are plannin on buyin new then you might want to see what the newest model has to offer. If you dont dig the new one the older model will be cheaper cause they will want them off the lot. Used ones will generally get cheaper too... with the release of a new bodystyle/model etc...

G35 is more of a luxury car.
I would personally get a G35 Coupe, and get a decked out interior. The exterior already has that cool, unique look.
Plus, overall, Infiniti's are just made nicer and carry along a "higher standard", in sense the name itself.

My boss has the g35 now and it is sweet. I've bought her last Infinti an i30 and drive it now. Both of them seem more luxury than sporty. I've had a maxima and 280 (i think) in the past. They both had a sporty feel even though the maxima was 4 door.

I would go with the 350z here are some pics from the NY Auto Show. The 350z in the picture with all those mods and super charged engine cost 37,000. I personally have the 300zx which is a nice ride too...

i was looking at internet and car shows at 350z. was wanting a change from my 06 impreza, and 350z is top on the list for my next car. i like the 2 seat coupe, g35 imo lookings ugly and less sporty, and there is no compitition that the 350z has better interia.

the Z has horrible and i mean HORRIBLE visibility. C pillars are way too thick on that car and the rear window is tiny IMHO.

Z's are a bit quicker/less expensive

I had my G35 for 2 years and absolutely luved it. I miss that car...10x better than the Z. I'm going to buy the G37 in August. Can't wait.

I've owned both cars....the g35 is a smoother, more comfortable ride, obviously better suited for a more luxurious ride, where the 350z (my current car which is tt'ed) is more street tuned. You can definitely feel the road and it drives alot harder then the g. The Z is quicker then the g35 (stock) too btw

i culd see mid 12s...
heres some cars to compare it to that have been tested by road n track:
Z06(505hp): 12.0@121 (although i have seen a video on streetfire of a supposedly complete stock zo6 that had only slicks and ran a 10.9 )
Viper SRT-10(510hp): 12.3@118
M5 & M6(500hp): [email protected] & 118.1, respectively
Ferrarri Enzo(650hp): 11.1@133
Carerra GT(605hp): [email protected]
911 Turbo(480hp): [email protected]
SLR McClaren(617hp): [email protected]
These cars are packing big time power, w/ a big time price tag...I juss dont see a GTR keeping up (and beating) an Enzo, carerra GT @ SLR McClaren in the 1320
now you may point out 'oh the 911 turbo is runnin 11.6s!'...the problem is the faster a car is the harder it is to make it go faster
i.e. say i have car X that is currently running 15.5s...its gonna be A LOT easier (and A LOT less expensive) for me to shave off .6seconds and get it down to 14.9s than it would be to take a car thast runnin 11.6s and get it down to running 11.0s
not to mention that these tests are typically done on picture perfect days, on a perfectly prepped track, and the cars are driven by ppl that do this stuff for a living!

y does everyone keep sayin the Zs are quicker than the Gs?
Road n Track-
G35 Sport:0-60(5.4sec)0-100(13.5sec)1/4mile([email protected])
350Z 35th Anniv:0-60(5.6sec)0-100(13.7sec)1/4mile([email protected])
i dunno im not a huge follower of dese cars (altho they are real NICE ) maybe one was manual other was automatic? or does the anniv edit Z come w/ a hundred extra pounds of badging n bullshit?

Hmmmmmm....SLR Mclaren......now that is a f*ckin sexy car. I get aroused just looking at it.

nah IMO they dont sound the same... the Z doesnt start to sound throaty until throttle is applied more. the g35 sounds good under normal driving had a nice gargle to it. i like the coups tho. there both 2 slow lol

Dude, both cars are sweet and you cant go wrong with either one. Thats like saying, "Should I get a Ferarri or a Lambor***ni?" On a smaller scale though lol.

these times are predictions that nissan are saying, i cant wait to see what it will do.
Nissan are using a 997 turbo as their benchmark car to beat.
Im aware its harder to get faster with a fast car i used to do alot of drag racing, i once spent $1000 to get a second off my time, and another time i spent $8000 to shave .7sec off

^ also its no good having 800hp from 6000-8000rpm if your only making 300hp at 3000-6000rpm, you need power all through rev range for a good circut car as well.
the all wheel drive helps too. look at the times of the all wheel drive cars you mentioned(the porsche) and the lowest power, the GTR should have 70hp more and hopefully , if they meet their target weight, alot less weight. so power is not always everything. i knew a guy that added 150hp shot of gas and ran slower times with it..

I'm w/ Jdawg, you cna't go wrong with eiterh car. I was lookin at these earlier this year, bu wasn't plannin on getting a new car until the end of the year. I would wait until the new g35 came out, but if you like the older look better, I'd go with that. I would prefer a 4 seater vs. 2. I would also like the smoother ride like somebody pointed out. Btw, what is the price difference? That would ultimately make the decision for me, but I'm not sure what your financial status is.
