Do you find yourself getting shorter in height as you age?

I swear I am getting shorter. Four years ago I was a pinch under six feet tall. Recently a co-worker at the bar I bounce at guessed that I was 5'10 tall, and a girl I've been seeing guessed my height at 5'10 too. So today I took my height and it is dead on at 180.5cm, which is 5'11". I am just about 25 years old.

Could I have shrunk about an inch in height between 21 and 25? I gained some size on my frame in those years, but it doesnt make sense. The inital measure in 2003 was accurate. So if I did shrink, what could the cause be? Spinal compression? What can I do to help that and not get any shorter, I am getting paranoid here...

ppl dont get shorter, as you get older your back somehow start bending to the front which will make you seem shorter, but thats not even close yet to your age.

^^ kinda how astronauts that spend a decent amount of time in space are taller when they get back, there is no gravity, so there spine kind of expands...

the hight of the disk space collapses with time and the effects or gravity. Women can loose actual bone mass due to osteoporosios which will result in a loss of hight.

To my understanding, most people shrink as they grow older. But we're talking about in your 70's and 80's. You might want to get that looked at, bro.

Yeah that is a good point pooks... I never stretch! Will have to get started, don't wanna get any shorter.

I think Arnold mentioned something about gravity boots in his encyclopedia. Where you could hook yourself onto a pull-up bar of sorts and hang upside down. He would do these hangs often and daily to allow the spine to stretch and expand. Sounds interesting
