ya, a great composer. but technically no Vai or beck for sure. Every live clip I have seen of him, he makes so many mistakes. And I dont mean creative liscence, i mean just off . Even during the rock hall of fame, he slipped a couple of times. He really nailed the solo though.

they played some sweet tunes...obviously wasn't the same without the fat man, but Warren held it down. the set lists is below. The Mule and The Allmans are playing Red Rocks this summer...I'll be at both for sure! The best part of warren for me, is when he tells stories...the man has seen and done some amazing shit!

i fvckin love Clapton.
Not enough people listen.
Especially young people... So unappreciative...

thats because young people aint got no soul!!!! Seriously, imo, anybody that finds pop culture radio music to be "good" aint got no soul and lack a musical appreciation. Now as far as radio friendly blah blah, might not have been as true 60's 70's etc. But it is now.
I am the exception here.

wanna talk guitar players?

This question is impossible to answer, as it's all taste.
Music is art, guitar is a tool to make art. Art can't be measured.
PS Kirk hammett is not that fantastic of a guitar player in my books, he runs boring minor pentatonic blues runs that should be only used to warm up, throws too much Wah pedal on and wanks off. He ruins some of the songs to me. Even James Hetfield plays more creative solos than him.

Technically I say Malmsteen...but Hendrix has my heart......his style is a great influence on my playing.......also believe it or not Nugent kicks ass as well.

Hahah I was hoping to get that response. Seriously his lead guitar playing pisses me off greatly though. OOOH 3 note pull offs at the climax of every song, yay

I used to be huge into Dream theater, but I can no longer handle the absolutely horrid vocals of James Lebrie. he's garbage. Petrucci is an absolute freak though, listening to him is like lookin at pics of Phil Heath, I'll never be that good/big
