I get asked in the gym all the time, why do you work out so hard and so often. I tell them all the same thing.

I've tried all kinds of supps over along period of time. Always some new thing that's guaranteed to work this time. Except for creatine and whey protien they're mostly designed to rob your money. But steroids , now we're talking effective.

We may all be attracted to super hot bodies, admittedly, but the one we "mate", or stick-with, is probably just that special someone who makes us feel GOOD about ourselves when he or she is around.

Started with gear after college, after gaining 100 lbs. naturally over five years. (There was also a fraternity meal-plan involved!)

I think now it's just... habit? I lift so much; I eat so much... keeps me visible, to myself at least.

Vanity is, I suppose, the most honest answer for most of us. I'm sure there are guys and gals who are into "the sport" for it's own sake, etc., but they're probably the exception.

"We are a visual people, and we live on the surface of the eye... and our sins (as Saint Augustine says) are the sins of the eye. Everything is beautiful here, but that's all it is: beautiful. Do not expect food for your heart, of your soul, or your mind; just for the eye. Understand that, and you will get along perfectly here."
